Tamio Shiraishi (Shiraishi Tamio, 白石民夫) is a Japanese sax player, who currently lives in NY. Tamio is a active participant in avant-garde movement in Japan. He took part in 1st generation of Keiji Haino's Fushitsusha. His sax improvisation is quite different from jazz or audinary "free" musical performance. His play is not so loud, as like as ordinary avant-garde playing. His play is rather similar to sound of wind, water, and any other natural "noise" sound.
